Hey all its my first post on my new blog Life with Marrion Adonis

Just wanted to share some halloween pictures of the boy (Marrion) in costume...this is what he was ( not necessarily Jake Sully from Avatar but more like an Avatar (Navi) child.

Here is the costume in progress

All it is is a simple bathing suit/ gymnast type fabric in blue sewn (by hand mind you cause my machine hates this fabric lol) Everything except the bow is made from stuff I had laying around the house or outside lol. The blue costume was made from leftover fabric I had from making his gymnastics outfits,  The pouch for the arrows was made from an empty crystal light container and wrapped in felt. The staff was made from a stick found outside cardboard made the point for the spear. Scraps of fabric tied around the stick made it look more rustic. An old yellow rope we had for tying stuff down in the car painted with brown paint made the body rope. The bow was bought at the dollar store and then wrapped in the inside of an old tie to give it that ripped old look. Add some of my old jewelry, and blue face paint (1 dollar at party city).


Later we added stripes to the blue to make the stripes of the avatar and for his shoes I bought some old water shoes at the goodwill for .50 and painted them blue with fabric paint.

Total cost of costume is 2.50 . And he ended up winning two costume contest for a total of 55 bucks and 3 movie tickets... so yay we're up 52.50 + 24 for the tickets lol.
